Deregulation of the Industry – Avion Energy Group operates in every state that has some form of energy deregulation. Deregulation of energy markets began in the late 1990’s. Each state must be deregulated by that state’s legislature, and can take several years to pass and fully implement these new laws. Oversight of the energy market is provided by a government agency, such as the public utility commission.
